Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles in well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was in university Christopher Meloni has always been fascinated by the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active on TV and film and on stage, his appearances on small screens have earned him a lot of recognition. He's been able effortlessly play roles of characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' focus. He portrayed the role of a serial killer in his first television series project however he later chose to play the role as an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is famous for his blue-piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to create a charismatic character for tough roles. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
